It’s Spring Time and we all know what that means… spring cleaning! We don’t know about you, but we feel that sometimes spring cleaning and organizing isn’t always the easiest thing to start.
So we wanted to provide you with 5 helpful tips to help you clean up your space and feel refreshed for the Spring Season!
Tip #1: Create a realistic list and split up your cleaning into multiple days. Not all the tasks need to be completed in one day! Don’t put too much pressure on yourself to complete everything all at once (you’re more likely to complete a task if you write it down).
Tip #2: Set aside time to organize a designated space, whether that be 10, 15, 30 mins. During this time, just focus on cleaning and organizing the space without distractions (setting a timer can help too!).
Tip #3: Focus on one room, or one area of the room at a time. Don’t get overwhelmed! It’s easy to bounce from one task to another, or from one room to another, but stay focused and complete one task at a time.
Tip #4: Get your family involved in the cleaning! Designate one task to each family member. Make it fun for kids by having a prize at the end, like watching a movie as a family or playing at the park.
Tip #5: Declutter in each room. If you can’t remember the last time you used an item, or wore a piece of clothing, consider donating it or recycling the items at a recycling depot.
